Wim Mertens came to the studio having recorded a television programme with Paloma Chamorro on Spanish TV.
It was really simple to take his photo because he was so calm in front of the camera. It took ten minutes to take the photos and then we spent more than an hour talking about music.
For someone like me, who considers Mertens to have reinvented music as a composer, it was a true pleasure and privilege. Taking photos has meant that I've met some extraordinary people.
